Hello, Westside Community, this is my second year as an English Learner instructor . Last year, I taught the English Learners at Coopertown Elementary. Before that, I was a teacher for the Montgomery County School District. Eleven years ago, I began teaching in the second grade. After two years, I transferred to the middle school where I taught Reading to seventh and eighth grade for 4 years. Seeing 7th grade students unable to read on level, I enrolled at Austin Peay to receive my Master's in Education as a Reading Specialist. Once I completed my courses, I taught at the college level for a year and became a substitute for Robertson County. Now, I am enrolled in the Robertson County English Language Learner on-line program at UT-Martin. I will have my endorsement by December of this year. I am enjoying working with the English Learners. Teaching is my passion, and I will continue to take that journey with the students and the community. I am blessed to be working with such a great group of administrators, teachers, and students.
